After installing the acos spacers and the wj control arms I realized the wj control arms will not work with the amount of lift I have so tomorrow I will be picking up my rubican express adjustable control arms. Then I can install the ARB bull bar and get it alligned. Here is my drawing of my control arm issue. Do you see the problem? Btw I also got to experience a death wobble for the first time. Holy crap!!!
Well it has been a while since I have updated because I have been busy with both work and working on this. I have had multiple issues and the suspension took me a bit longer to get installed. However, new wheels, well used from craigslist, and the suspension mostly done. I sill have oto install acos spacers, trackbar and long arms and the bar and winch to be done with my first phase.
I am picking up the jeep from the mechanic in the morning. Good news right? Well kind of. After pulling the transmission he found no issue with the front torque converter seal or the rear main seal. He replaced the front seal regardless and also the trans Pan gasket. So we don’t really know where the fluid was coming from but hope it was a pan gasket. We will soon find out……..
Yes that old saying is ringing true once again for me. I had hoped that the transmission would not need to be pulled, however it looks like the front seal will have to be replaced. Planning on doing the rear main seal and the pan seal at the same time.
Well Jim at Eagle Racing checked out the Jeep and said he does NOT think the front tranny seal needs replacing. That is good news. So just a new exhaust manifold and valve cover gasket. After that he wants me to drive it to make sure the front seal does not leak. So……….. hopefully this will be the case because that saves the time of pulling the Tranny and the cost also. Well I am off to pickup the valve cover gasket and see the progress.
Drove up to Lake Stevens tonight and picked it up. It is in primo shape. I will be dropping it off at Eagle Racing tomorrow morning and see how the other work is coming when I see Jim. Now ont to lookout for a new driver side fender and grill. Oh and I have to figure out how to fit the 32 BFG AT’s I already have under it.
